What a surprise after missing the lavendar season twice in France to find it on Whidby Island in Washington! They were very kind explaining how the lavender is harvested and then processed. (The equipment reminded us of a still...) We were free to walk around the lovely gardens and then explore the shop. There was plenty of information with each product and it was amazing to see the many benefits of lavender. A very lovely experience.

What a beautiful farm! We chose to go out to Lavender Wind because they have a "lavender labyrinth" which was fun to walk through. The lavender was mostly harvested by the time we were there (Labor Day weekend), so I'd recommend going earlier in the summer. The grounds of the farm are beautiful, and the family's garden was amazing to look at too if you're a veggie aficionado. Lots of cute gifts for sale, although the store in town had a larger selection & a bakery on site!

We visited the shop in Coupeville and it keeps getting better and better. The staff is always welcoming, friendly, and helpful. They have so many wonderful things to select from that you are sure to find something. Having visited the farm on past trips, I recommend you go at least once.

I wanted to find gifts to take home and the people there were friendly and helpful! So many choices!

On my way to see Deception Pass, I stopped in Coupeville to stretch my legs. While driving into the town, I saw a very interesting place on the corner looking so inviting. (I love purple colors)The store piqued my interest so I went in to explore. Wow! Wonderful smells and visually appealing displays. I had NO idea there were SO many Lavender related items, products or scents. What!?!?! Lavender Ice Cream?!?!? Lavender chocolate cookies?! Everything Lavender one could ever dream of and some things you would never dream of!The Ice Cream was different, got some foaming soap, bar soap, cookies, cheese straws and other snacks for my trip home. I skipped the clothing, the signs, the dried Lavender and of course the books. But I DID get some essential oil bottles. I read about its calming effect. The store seemed a bit cramped when there were so many people browsing. It is relatively small but well thought out and decorated. It's a converted house with a pleasant 'yard' filled with various Lavender garden plants and garden items.Everyone was nice, cheerful and handled the crowd very well. Ha, ha, maybe it was the Lavender smell inside the store that was responsible for the pleasant experience? This was one of the highlights of my stop in Coupeville.

I usually cycled here from Oak Harbor. It makes a good turning round point as it is a lovely place to just sit and relax and enjoy the scenery before heading back. The lavender makes a great picture when in full bloom. There is a grassy maze you can walk round although it is impossible to get lost! The owner is very friendly and the shop sells all sorts of lavender-based articles such as soap, body oil etc. I like the peace and tranquility of the place. Even if you have no intention of visiting the shop it is still a worthwhile visit.

We loved this store: wide variety of lavender products, friendly and informative people taking care of the customers, cozy and warm atmosphere. Very creative and delicious chocolate-chip-lavender cookies and caramel-toffee-lavender cookies! Our kids and us enjoyed them very much! Tasty!! We can't wait to go during summer time to visit their farm in full blossom!! Purple, purple!! Highly recommended!

This is a difficult review to respond to. Not because it’s negative, we have had negative ones occasionally and, in general, we welcome the critique that a negative review offers us. We can look at our company, how we perform, and make changes that will better the experience for our customers and for us. But, the original version of this review that was written earlier and taken down by Trip Advisor due to aspects that did not meet their criteria, which we think one of which was that it threatened bodily harm. This is a version that has been corrected, and now we assume it meets Trip Advisor’s criteria of an acceptable review. However, you can imagine our concern after reading the first version. Due to some events in the company and some facts in the review, there is enough reason to doubt the validity of the review that we had to think it through carefully. In spite of our doubts, we have decided to respond as if it was a legitimate complaint at the same time let you, our dear current or future customers, know that we take your satisfaction very seriously. We strive to keep our products and our service as high quality as we can. We are deeply concerned that you didn’t find our service and our products to your satisfaction. As we provide to all of our customers, if you have been dissatisfied with a product we will cheerfully refund your money. We don’t want you to be unhappy! We are a little mystified as to why you have not contacted us to request a refund, but it’s not too late. Just contact us with the receipt and/or return the product you don’t want as well as a name and address to which we can send the refund and we’ll do it. No problem. As to the hectic nature inside the store the weekend you were here, that is true. Our staff was racing to serve the hundreds of people who were coming through the door. We are located in a tourist area and that weekend was one of the biggest festivals of the year. The town of normally around 1,800 was bulging with 6,000 visitors all wanting to enjoy the festival and shop at all our shops. We apologize if the service wasn’t to your standard and our shop was crowded, but that is the nature of being in a tourist town on a festival weekend. We wish you, the writer of this review, the best and that you can find a peaceful solution to your issue. We are here to help with our part.

My wife and I stopped in the shop and my wife bought some gifts for friends and a few things for herself. We would have liked to go to the farm but settled for the shop. The owner was pleasant and personable and we enjoyed the store.

The Lavender Farm in Coupeville is off the beaten track on the west side of Whidbey Island were it gets the best marine layer for growing the best lavender. Better yet, they now have a presence on Coveland in Historic Coupeville.

We didn't get a chance to visit the farm but our visit to the store was just great! The service was great and the products were awesome! They bake items onsite, pre packed for sale, and even contract with local dairy for delicious ice cream bars. Highly recommend the cardamom lavender dipped in choc- to die for!

There are a great many lavender farms in the Northwest, and many of those farms are quite good, but none of them are quite as good as Lavender Wind. All of the lavender farms I have visited in this area claim to be local, claim to be organic and claim to be community oriented. To a certain degree this is true, but not in the same way as it is with Lavender Wind. The farm is not even six miles from the shop. All the employees are local, sit on community boards, participate in gardening clubs and buy local themselves. The store offers classes, baked goods, bath products, gardening products and more... it is the widest array I have seen. It's just good people doing good work to create a quality product. If you like this sort of thing and want to support American made quality products, as well as local business and agriculture... this is a place to buy some stuff at... oh, and they support the American Military as well!!!Thank you Lavender Wind.

Thank you for taking the time to write your critique of our shop. I'm sorry if anyone was grumpy with you, we go to great lengths to be friendly and we will review this with our staff as we do when we hear about something that isn't perfect. We are a little confused about the signs you mention being unwelcoming. We don't have any signs that mention cleats at all, and our dog sign is about as nice as can be. We have a dog water bowl out every day in case our visiting dogs are thirsty and we are well known to stop everything and go outside to greet the dogs who visit with their owners. Our Dog Sign says "We love your dogs. But, we don’t love them in our shop. Please keep your beloved pets outside." and it has a picture of a woman patting her dog as she walks with him on the beach. If you have ideas on how we can be more welcoming to dogs (short of letting them in the shop which we can't because we serve food and it's a small space), please let us know.

I enjoy this place! Besides their beautiful shop in downtown Coupeville, the farm itself is worth seeing. Beautiful fields of many varieties of lavender and flowers, as well as a cute little shop with some sweet treats. It's a very nice stop!

They make almost all their own stuff, from lavender cheese to lavender oils. You can visit their store in Coupeville and/or their farm outside of town. We went to both and enjoyed it a lot.
